FutureHeights is a nonprofit, community building organization that promotes a vibrant and sustainable future for Cleveland Heights and University Heights through civic engagement and innovation.

Overview

FutureHeights serves Cleveland Heights and University Heights residents, and our primary role is to promote civic engagement through information, education and advocacy about issues that concern Heights residents. FutureHeights publishes the Heights Observer, a monthly community newspaper. We do this because it is vitally important for sustaining the uniqueness of our community and attracting and retaining residents and businesses.

We value:
• Active and informed participation in community decision making;
• Innovative approaches to addressing the challenges of inner ring suburbs;
• Open, effective communication and partnerships among nonprofits, schools,
local businesses, city governments, and residents;
• A thriving local business community;
• Preservation of historic neighborhoods and commercial districts;
• High quality design and sustainability in new construction; and,
• A regional approach to planning and development.
