Join us in an online dialogue on mental health
Thousands of Americans are coming together, both in-person and online, to learn about and make progress on one of the most misunderstood public issues we face today. We’ll come together at large forums, in small-group discussions, in city-wide deliberations, and here online at The Civic Commons.
This initiative, Creating Community Solutions, is an important component of the National Dialogue on Mental Health.
Join the conversation. Click on any of the six conversations featured below. You may want to start in Experiences With Mental Health, but feel free to join in wherever you feel comfortable. We hope these discussions will help us learn from each other and think through how we might move forward—eliminating the stigma from mental illness, promoting mental health, improving treatment, and making it available to all who need it.
Creating Community Solutions is led by a group of deliberative democracy organizations working in concert with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) of the Department of Health and Human Services.
* Note: These discussions are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition or illness. Those needing professional medical advice should visit www.MentalHealth.gov.
