Your Commons

Want to put this conversation on your website?
You can do it in just a few clicks. By following the steps below you can embed this or any other Civic Commons conversation on your website. Your Commons is a great way to promote an issue you’re interested in, to invite your community to participate in a conversation and to add content to your website.

Your Commons will display the most recent activity from the conversation on your website and let visitors click to come to the Civic Commons to read more and add their voice.

Here’s an example of what it can look like:

Let’s get started.

1

Copy the code below.

2

Paste the code in your website’s html.

If you need more detailed instructions about where to paste this code, here are links to instructions from WordPress, Tumblr, Blogger and Drupal.
Not using one of those systems?
Then contact us directly at support@theciviccommons.com and we’ll help you out.

3

Invite friends to join your conversation.

This is key because lively conversations require lively participants. So share the conversation on Facebook, link to it in your next email newsletter or tweet an invitation to the world. The more ways you invite participation, the better.
Simply share a link to the page where you’ve added the conversation and we’ll take care of the rest.

If you need help getting a new conversation started or embedding a conversation that has already started at the Civic Commons, let us know. We’re happy to help. Simply email support@theciviccommons.com. We look forward to seeing where you take the conversation!
