I just hope that when Romney wins the left is a good sport, instead of sending armies of lawyers around the country to tie up the results in endless lawsuits, the way they did in 2000.

I hope so, too, Jonathan. I think both sides sent forth respective phalanxes of lawyers back in 2000. I imagine if it's very close, we can expect the same thing.

My spouse and child are nowhere near me...and I'm still on duty collecting information. Voters still in line in some Summit County precincts - probably an hour more for a few precincts.

I've been thinking a lot about the OH Senate race. I know Mandel is a long shot, but it still seems like he might surprise the state. A win by him would be a huge shift for this state, which has had moderate Republicans representing us in the Senate for awhile.

I've gotta say, CNN just did the most absurd rundown of all these states where the polls just closed, many had fewer than 2,000 votes counted and Wolf was reporting the numbers as if they mattered. Grrrr. I expect better. I can't channel hop right now, as I don't want to annoy my family.

Here in the NPR room, they're switching stations from time to time so right now we have an NPR affiliate on from California and we're hearing about ballot issues there - before that, we were listening to Angus King

Yes - we are hearing that they must stay open as long as there are lines - also, you've probably heard about voting by email and fax in New Jersey will last through Friday

There were a couple of trouble spots all day long - one was the one where I was supposed to have been placed except for the credentialing problem. Same ones that started out with hour+ waits ended the day the same way.

Some local #CLE stuff: a little more than 10 percent of precincts reporting, CMSD levy is up by 8 or 9 points. The port levy is behind 15 points.

The barrage of commercials will finally come to an end tomorrow night as the nation awaits the outcome of the Presidential election. Join your fellow Civic Commoners as the results come in.
